Since having the projector centered horizontally to the middle of the screen leaves for less tweaking required, it is good to measure before installing either so that both items are centered in the room (or lined up properly if centering is not the wall placement that you want.) After both are mounted, you can tweak the various controls on your projector to fit the screen.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Now I'm wondering who will be our Jan Brady and am imagining different forum members saying, "Marcia! Marcia! Marcia!!!"

Just flagging a useful link here. Hopefully I don't get "notified" by Mark... Elite Projector Calculator This is one of the BEST projector calculators out there. Way more accurate than the ones at ProjectorCentral or the like. Using it with the Epson 3010 and a 106", 1.79:1 (16:9) format, 1.0 gain screen and you have PLENTY of light to shoot a great image. The calculator shows 21.1 fL with the iris closed, and a massive 34.6 fL in Best Mode (low lamp). You want to usually target 12 fL - 16 fL in a fully darkened room, but 16 fL - 22 fL will allow for bulb dimming over time.

That's cool, Nick.
If you have "some" ambient light, is there a similar fL target?
