drool... would love EP800s but it would be impossible to sneak those past the big boss. My usual tactic of just replacing my old speakers with new Axioms on the sly works pretty good cause the wife doesn't pay too much attention to my toys. I don't think that I could swap out my 10" Polk sub for an EP800, that, she would notice no matter how dumb I act

Get a mysterious wood working project going, order the Ep800. Remove the name tag. Presto, home made sub woofer!

A sub with a big amp that doubles as a heater in the wintertime. If you need heat in your HT, just buy an Onkyo!

What receiver/processor/pre-amp/integrated amplifier are you using? Onkyo tx-pr876

Seems to be quite a few Onkyo owners in the crowd. I thought most people were hot on Denons for the longest time but i actually don't personally know anyone who owns one.

The next generation subs should offer 15" and 18" drivers, as well as incorporating some sealed units.
