And for some random timeline pieces since then...
10/20/2004 - I made my purchase: M60 fronts, VP150 center, a pair of QS8s, and a SVS sub. Sub arrived in 2 days, but Axioms were 6 weeks out from shipping (down from the original 12 week estimate)... And so begins home theater V2.0 for me.
10/29/2004 - Nine days after my order, I actually heard my first Axiom system. Maybe I should have done that first, but the outcome was the same. I loved them.
09/16/2005 - Lord of the Rings (Extended Edition) movie marathon scheduled for 09/24/2005. Love those movies, but dang, that much time sitting takes its toll.
08/07/2006 - V3.0 of the theater is fully operational
03/01/2007 - Start the Pop thread. It was giving the Beer thread a run for its money in views... Not so much any more.
03/06/2007 - Gave my first Axiom audition. Not sure if the guy ever bought or not.
10/27/2008 - Bought my first blu-ray player. Dang you Sony. You know HD-DVD was the better product at the time and you killed it.
03/11/2011 - After 8 months sleeping on blow up mattresses in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment, our house finally sold and we were just 6 weeks from getting into the new place. Visions of home theater v4.0 danced through my head after not using V3.0 more than about 4 times in 2 years due to my job that had me 2 hours away from it.
08/17/2011 - First shipment from Monoprice (only 67 pounds) arrived with cables and connections for finishing the basement and V4.0
09/12/2011 - Ordered a second pair of QS8s. 7.1 surround, here I come.
09/16/2011 - Ordered the brand new model VP180. Nice 7 year Axiom Anniversary purchase. Still have no idea what to do with the VP150....
10/02/2011 - Start the "Maybe I should start a v4.0 build thread somewhere" topic
05/26/2012 - v4.0 has its first viewing during my daughter's high school graduation party. It was a scramble just the day before to finish the screen. Still lots to do, but it was functional.
07/25/2012 - Start the Daily Gripe thread.
06/11/2013 - Got a coworker to buy a set of Axioms for his new house. Helped him install and finish it all too. He went with (2) M2 in-walls, (1) VP100 in-wall, (4) QS4s
09/11/2014 - Attend CEDIA and experience SOOO much awesomeness. Promise to do a post with pictures and answers to questions and still haven't done it.
09/16/2014 - 10 year anniversary of being an Axiom Forum Member. 10 years filled with great conversations, memories, and experiences. Met a couple Axiomites along the way.
It has been a great ride so far. I can't wait to see what the next 10 years holds.
Thanks to everyone at Axiom for products that I love, and for the forum members both past and present that make this a fun place to visit every day.
Hmmm... Here is an interesting oddity... This also marks my 4,444th post.

This also marks my 4,444th post. Pffffft. Your post count could be SO much higher if you made snide comments unrelated to the main topic.

Who would do something like that anyways? How Rude!
It would be like that time I ate bacon while making a car analogy about bi-wiring speakers.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

I don't get here as often these days. Sorry I missed this. Usually autobiographies this long give ghostwriter credit. Fess up.
Always call the place you live a house. When you're old, everyone else will call it a home.
