I have a pair of Audiobytes that I'm thinking of trading in for M3v4. I heard the M3Ti over a decade ago and didn't like them. I am however willing to give the v4 a try. They'd be for living room music duty with a sub. For serious listening, I have a different system.

Used in opposite corner locations, I had to plug the ports in my M3v3s to tame bass reinforcement in my large room. The bass muddiness caused by this setup was largely nullified.
I use them in an ambiance role in my room, ie dinner parties, etc, but they can be cranked nicely without the need of a sub...

Thanks. I might need those port plugs.

Nice! I've got 8 on the way (4 in wall, 4 in ceiling) for surround and atmosphere duty. No port plugs needed

Too late to help with the decision but I really liked my M3v4's. I traded them in towards the LFR1100's but it wasn't because I didn't like them... just had too many speakers

Thanks. Craig Chase compared them to the B&W 705 and they were really close. He loves them.

I loved the M3Tis. I replaced a pair of Infinity Composition Overture III speakers which were good. But the M3s with a SET tube amp and little Velodyine 8 or 10" sub (don't remember which) was downright beautiful sounding. The highs were detailed, airy and very pleasant. The mids were rich and musical. There was a slight bass 'bump' but all in all, a fantastic speaker.
