IMHO even $400Can for PE 811 used is a joke
FIrst - you can get brand new PEvsx-d912 with auto calibration for $300US+dues+shipping, will be about the same 400can ( well, little higher)
811 brand new is priced at about $220US.
And - it is rated ONLY 8-16oms
If you search and with some luck you can find onlyo601 for $300-320 ( they closing that model line now )
I demoed 601 it had no problems with 4om load.

I'd have to agree. I don't think that is a very good value, and I don't think Axiom recommends driving the M80's with anything except separates, high-end receivers or "budget" Denon or HK receivers.
I looked at the Pioneer 811 and 912 receivers before settling on the Denon 1804. I'm happy with my choice.

Denon and HK are the only 'low ends' that will drive M80's.
I have a denon 1602 and have never had a problem with M80's.
