Remus, are there any plans or solutions or considerations for managing resonance with in the ducting? My basement has all the ducting in it and I’m trying to think of a way to neutralize possible resonances and frame in drop downs and boxes around all the ducting for aesthetics too.

I like your space. It looks awesome. Open spaces and a clean slate is pretty fun to have to work with.

Thank you Kodiak!

I was planning to add rockwool safe and sound around all the HVAC areas to try and help absorb some of the sound from/to the HVAC runs, am not sure how well it work, I have heard of some people using a heavier type of stick on sound deadening material, similar to how people will add dynamat to car frame/doors or slipping on HVAC duct liners.

I have not fully determined what I will do yet, but am considering all reasonable options.

Thank you. I’ll check those options out. I’m a long ways away from getting my project going down in the basement. Still a ton to do everywhere else in the house.

One could / would need to just do all 3 of those options. Sticky it with the sound deadener, then wrap with insulator jacket and stuff the Roxul into the drop down boxes. What more can you do.
