Hi All - I'm hoping someone can offer some advice - I just bought a used EP600V2, did a quick demo on site before buying it, everything seemed ok.
Once I got it home, it's giving tons of random clicks and thunks. when it's playing and when it's not, even when there's nothing plugged into the inputs. its happening fairly frequently, every 20 to 30 seconds.
I haven't pulled anything apart yet, possibly some internal connection? or a bad amp? anyone heard of a symptom like this before?
thanks!!

I'd call/send Axiom that question ... see if they seen a failure like it before. Short of trying to walk you through some simple diagnostics (which is highly dependent on your comfort, ability, & tools at hand) ... my best guess that you'd need to send back the amp.

I did reach out and await their reply. I'm not one to get upset if it takes a bit for them to get back to me, but the request has been extended. I'm quite comfortable pulling the amp and running what diagnostics you can think of. I've got tools and multimeter etc. Cheers and thanks!

The first thing to check is that the "click and thunk" mode switch is in the "off" position.

t, even when there's nothing plugged into the inputs. thanks!! My guess is caps going bad in power supply. I had an ep500 amp fail twice. First time was under warranty second time I traded the ep500 in to axiom under the upgrade program and got some new mains. bought a used ep600 thru zbay. I did leave the unit powered up 24/7 and my guess is the constant heat got the caps. It even puffed a little smoke once but kept on working for another year or so. YMMV otherwise start contemplating if you want to spend $748 https://www.axiomaudio.com/ep600-replacement-amplifieralso, turn it off for 2 days to completely cool. then turn it on. probably wont start popping till it heats up.

The only valid verdict is to vivify this validly vexing and vapid vicissitude by vociferously and vigorously verbalizing your vexation verily.

sorry to hear that. I still think it is the caps in the power supply of the amp. Did ya ever get a response from axiom ? t, even when there's nothing plugged into the inputs. thanks!! I interpret this thread as a warning about buying used subwoofers. The online forums are rife with tales of subs that died just after the warranty period. If there's ever a consumer category that's driven hard and put away wet, this is it.
I'd be willing to pay up to 10 cents on the dollar of the original MSRP to mitigate that risk, but that's not how most sellers set their pricing (particularly the ones who think a "vintage sub" is some sort of perk).

I've sent a poke this morning.

I vaguely recall a similar problem on older versions that was caused by a ground screw. Either installed or not, I do not remember.

Ground screw removal may have been effective in hum attenuation.
