Sorry for the long delay. Finally took some pictures, and joined photobucket (thanks to all who suggested this). I'm not thrilled with how these came out -- the maple looks too washed out. It is fairly white, but not as white looking as they appear on my screen.
That's what happens when you use an old Canon PowerShot A10. Oh well. And no snide comments about the mess and all of the wires everywhere! I got a panasonic E80 (HDD and DVD-RAM), and am in the process of transferring a whole bunch of programs recorded on VHS into DVD-Rs. Cool little box.
And yes, that is my beloved Sony GWIII 42". Wasn't really paying attention to the image I captured. Anyone need some Plavix?

At least it wasn't a commercial for viagra. hehe. Your pictures look nice. Definitely not as white or washed out as they appear on the axiom website. I'm still waiting for the maple sample, asked for it about a week ago. When it gets here I'll be doing some comparisons directly to the pics posted here. I want to make sure I get the finish I'm satisfied with in the long run, but the wait is killing me! Been without speakers for two weeks since I sold my jbl E80's. Two whole weeks! hehe.
Will post again when I make my decision(color)and order these m22's. Thanks, richeydog.

richeydog-
if you want a sample sent to you, just call the 1-800# on the website. you can order a sample of any color with any screen you want, and they cost $10 bucks per sample. but they forward that price toward any speakers that you buy.. so its a win/win situation. if you have already decided on getting the axioms, then ordr some samples and you will not be out any money!!

Glad I could assist! That's the first time I've posted photos here, so I was a little nervous.
I really like the maple. Of course, when I got mine over a year ago now, most of the custom colors weren't available. But I'm not so sure I'd change. The maple matches well with most of the maple furniture we have.
And, yes, the SVS is rather large. That's a 20-39pci. It's usually a little less conspicuous with some ivy on a stand in front of it. But that baby sure can pump out some serious bass. I love it for both music and HT. But the sheer size of it does have me occasionally contemplating getting a "box" sub.

Hey Bren--
At moderate and/or non-critical listening levels, no. But they are small and light, and get removed when putting on a movie or cranking the volume. My concession to my wife's desire to keep them decorated.

I wanted to give an update to my situation. I received the maple sample in the mail a couple of weeks ago. After much consideration I decided it was too light for my taste. So instead of paying extra for the custom finishes, I went for the basic black m22's. I'll be asking Amie or Brent for a color sample of the charcoal grill cloth to see if I can create a nice two-tone look for my speakers.
My m22's shipped on the 10th(thursday). I heard that many of you get your speakers within 48 hours. Well not me. I was expecting them saturday, eagerly waiting all day and nothing! Apparantly fedex had one speaker in Oakland and the other in Fresno. So I had to wait two more days for them to sort it out but there here now. First impressions were excellent. Listened to Vivaldi's four seasons and immediately noticed a large soundstage with great clarity and detail. Midrange was smooth, highs were crisp and clean. No brightness whatsoever. These babies are perfect for my classical listening tastes. Mom walks in the room and immediately notices how much clearer and detailed they are compared to my (sold)jbl e80's. How's that for MAF(mother's acceptance factor). Hehe. Then watched a few scenes from LOTR(disc1) and heard minute details that I didn't know existed. Awesome. These are keepers. You can rip up that 30 day warranty. Can't wait until I can afford a vp150 and dual Qs8's. Anyway I sincerely appreciate all those who made efforts to generate photos and give advice for me. I am now a proud axiom owner. Cheers, Richeydog.
