Hi I recently purchashed the m3ti and am looking for recommendations for a subwoofer that would fit these well. I will be usuing them in a pretty small room all the time max dimensions would be about 15x15. I have a budget of around 200 let me know what you guys think would be a descent match, thanks

Hmmm. Any chance you can bump up your sub budget by $100? If so, then the Hsu STF-1 might fit the bill.

Welcome Loose, good choice on the M3,excellent speaker. What type setup are you using these in? Partsexpress.com sells a pretty in-expensive sub (pt.#300-632) that would probably work pretty good in that room, but I would advise you to save a little more (499.+s/h) and get the HSU VTF-2.

I have the subwoofer that mace is referring too. For the money it is a great subwoofer. However, it does not compare to the SVS or HSU subwoofers. I like mine, but wish I had the money and the space to upgrade (I live in a studio so more than I have would be over kill).
That sub works hard and does well, but at times it is a bit loose or mushy. Though that is more of a problem with CD and SACD and less of an issue for Movies. I personally wish I had something ‘tighter’ (peter don't be a perv!). Whatever that might mean.
All that said I would still recommend it. For the price you can't find anything better and it will push a lot of air for a small/medium room!

In reply to:

I'll let that statement stand on its own.

Hey thanks for the suggestions guys, I've heard alot about the HSU subwoofers, I use my setup to only listen to music, movies in the future but i don't really care too much about the sound on movies just music! I listen to mostly dance music so trance, house, deep house, breaks so having tight base is pretty important even though my dj name is loose.
Maybe if i get above a 35 on my mcats i can convince my parents that i deserve something for once in my life
