Be forewarned, these are not very exciting. I figure only hardcore voyeurs like bigjohn will give it a peek.

The system includes a cheapo Pioneer receiver (to replace my old Onkyo that I broke with my big sausage fingers), an older Toshiba DVD player, a '94 Onk 6 disc CD carousel, a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 2s, and a 10" Energy sub that I got on loan for a while. It's all hooked up to digital cable music channels as well.

I frequently knock the MAs, but really they're pretty dang good.

Very nice, Mark. So, what I hear myself saying is, your upstairs system is better than most people's main system. You are, my friend, an audio geek. And you know I mean that sincerely and with affection and admiration.

I guess we need a thread for pictures of secondary systems.

I like the new avatar, too. But I really like the swimming one a lot.

My favorite thing in the pictures is the doorstop. What's the story?

I think he doth refereth to the flagon of brew!

I just realized that THAT is the biggest bedroom TV I've ever seen. Makes my 24 inch (TV ) look puny! What size is it? For that matter, I don't think I've ever known anybody ('til now) that has an entertainment center is their bedroom. Sheesh!

Yeah, my 7 year old noticed the beer on top of the EC - I didn't. I said "yeah, guess that beer". If it really was Fat Tire, I'm going to become quite afraid.

You guys are too kind.

The swimming picture of Jake was taken in Vegas a few weeks ago. Very fun trip, I kicked their butt in the casino and enjoyed the pools very much. Jake's pretty fair-skinned so we hung out under the waterfalls mostly. The new one shows him "pillow wrestling" - his favorite new activity.

The TV is a 36" JVC that I bought with the check Bush sent me a few years ago.

I think the beer was a dark Czech lager called Baron. Not bad at all, but not award winning either.

The door stop is a high school football award. We had 6 or 7 guys from the team go on to Div 1 (myself included) so the coaches had to be creative in naming the trophies. I was dubbed "Most Consistent" (hopefully not consistently sh!tty!).

Where did you go to school? De la Salle, Long Beach Poly? There are only a handful of schools in the entire country that send 6 players to D-1 schools. I'm curious to find out.

I'm getting nervous about all the personal info that's getting sent out into cyberspace here, but WTF.

I graduated from a small school in OC called Valencia HS. They're terrible now due to demographic changes, but in the mid '80s there was some very good talent at the school.

Certainly not a Jenks or Union type school.

yes, yes, bigwill.. i had to take a peek.. i agree with what someone else said.. thats a pretty good 'spare' system.. i remember a few months ago when i would have loved for that to be my 'main' system.

i kept all my awards and trophies from high school also.. just cant seem to get rid of them. thanks for sharing!!
