Clay isn't a problem for him.
Yeah...but he lost in the first round at the French. You also got to remember there are different kinds of clay....slower and faster just like hardcourts. Not saying he can't win the French, but he is not consistently great on clay like he his on grass and hard courts.
My favorite players of all time....there is a lot.....previously I said McEnroe and Connors....also like Sampras and Edberg.
On the women....I would probably have to choose Graf. I just wish she didn't slice her backhand so much.

Mark my words...he'll win the French. I'm not saying when, but it'll happen. I wouldn't be surprised if it's 2005 or 2006.
re: fav players. I've only been into tennis for about the past 6 years, so my tennis watching history is pretty short.
Men:
Sampras
Agassi
Safin (when his head's screwed on correctly)
Federer (1st became a fan when he beat Sampras in England a few years back)
Henman (love to watch volleyers)
Women:
Davenport (love her huge swings)
Henin (that BACKHAND!)
Amelie (love her all court game)

Man, when I think about my favorites, I feel like an old timer.
Men's - Boris Becker
Women's - Navratilova / Graf
I remember the first time that I saw Becker during the '85 Wimbeldon finals. You had this 17 year old kid diving all over the place to get every ball like it was match point.....and then that rocket serve. He played tennis like I wanted to play tennis.
I was a long-time fan of Martina's during those early rivalries w/ Chris Evert. But then, Stefi Graf came on the scene and was a menace on the court. Must be in the German blood, because she played with the similar intensity and strength of Boris.
Unfortunately, I have lost touch w/ the tennis stars of today. Oh well...
