I don't generally like I/Os but you're making me wish I were in a position to buy it from you because I like the way boats were built back then. My parents have a 1977 Invader that I hope to get one day ...
Where do you ski (I'm also in Texas)?

Which is much preferable to the 65HP power enema in every way.

i live in san angelo(west texas), so our local lake is lake nasworthy. the city just finished a massive lake-dredging project 2 summers ago, and the lake is a lot cleaner, and deeper now. its still pretty small, around 10,000 acre/ft..

we have gone to several other lakes in the central texas area.. lake buchanan, lake whitney, lake travis, inks lake, lake ivie, and once to lake amistad down in del rio.. that is the biggest dang lake i have ever seen.. at only 70% capacity, it has about 2.5 million acre/ft..

where are you??

None of us have heard the new Axioms (except chesseroo I think) so...
I wouldn't opt for the PB2 if it were me - I want something tall like my M60s. EP600 is likely out of my budget regardless of its performance, so... SVS PC+ 20-39? Santa, did you hear that?

Mark,

Check with SVS. Unless you have an incredibly large room, you would do well with the 20-39PCi and save a few bucks. I'm using one in a 16x22x10 room that opens into a 14x20 kitchen. I have the gain at about 40% and I have plenty of LFE. Of course, as always, you must balance need with want .

I'm in San Antonio. Have been to Medina Lake a couple of time - about 25 miles west of here. Grew up in Central Florida skiing every day.

SVS looks at the the PB2-Plus as their best bang for the buck subwoofer. So if you have $1300 to spare, get that one. If you have $2000 (reg. black) $2400 (shiny casing) for the PB2-Ultra, that has the best SVS drivers they make (Ultra). Or if you have that much money...hold out for the new Axiom subs and let us all know how it is

PS - I have the PB2 Plus and love it. I recently changed my settings from the 25 Hz port setting to 16 Hz. WOW! What a difference 9 Hz makes! I was watching Stargate SG-1 and a meteor hit the ground...I felt like I was right there standing with them feeling the tremor. And don't get me started about The Phantom Menace...that movie is just an a non-stop onslaght of bass.

Whatever you pick, I'm sure you'll enjoy.
