It's probrably not fair to compare these but I can get a set of t4's, the old model not the t45's that are listed on their web site, for the same price as the t22's.
I listened to them last night at Saturday audio exchange and was very impressed with the sound. They also have the matching center on sale. I'd imagine they sound very simular to the M40's if not the m50's.
Looking at bang for the buck I'm leaning towards the psb's as far as sound goes. However I wasn't very impressed with the finish. The showroom model had frayed paper on the bottom front edge and to me looked cheap up close.
Brought along Jane Monheit's Taking a chance on Love cd and the t4's handled it very well...even the heavy bass on a few cuts.
Has anyone listened to or compared these to axiom's line? I did a search and most people seem to agree that the axioms compare better with the higher end psb's.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've done a comparison between the Image 2b's and M22's. Personally, I slightly preferred the M22's to the 2B's. PSB's have a signature warmth about them that I didn't find appealing to all types of music. I actually thought the 2b's were pretty neutral before I heard the M22's (of course I was coming from some old Bose 301's). I haven't heard the 4T's, but the 5T's at a local shop sounded pretty good. If you already like the PSB Image series sound I'd stick with them as they are a great bang for the buck speaker line.

If you haven't made up your mind yet, here is my take. The PSBs are very good value for the money. They are certainly the equivilent to the M40s. That said, they will not capture the midrange with the same clarity as the M22s. If you are going with a sub, then the M22s are the better bet for the long term. If you are looking for 2 full range speakers, then pick up the PSBs.

Wow! You've been gone 4 months to the day and thought you could just slide right back in unnoticed?

Even more important than audio is golf. When I can break 80 I will once again be able to listen to music with a clear and open mind. I've got it bad. I can get to most greens in regulation, but I can miss a putt from anywhere. Last game I stuck it to 3 feet from 187 into a 20 mile per hour wind. Great shot. Then I three putted. Just kill me.

Believe me, I've been trying but your hat has foiled all my attempts.

Thanks for the responses. I liked the psb sound but wasn't impressed with the paper finish at all. I decided to give the m50's a go. In fact they are sitting at the fedex offices right now waiting for to be delivered tomarrow

Hiya tin - welcome back. I also took a golf driven hiatus. Here in Rochester, golf is usually April 15th to October 31st, with major cold or sloppy on either end for 2-3 weeks. That length season DOES cut down on 3 putts. I firmly believe that golf is the antichrist of sports. 3 weeks ago I had 11 one putt greens and still shot 87. Next day I come back and can't make a putt for 82. Anyhow, I guess we'll be able to dispense nonsense here for the winter months.
