I, like john, haven't heard the KEFs. I've got the m60s, and I am *quite* happy with them. I've had them for around 10 months now and still think they are as fantastic as I did when I took them out of the box. I think there are some m50 owners that should have some input for you regarding those, although they may just not be around this morning. Not sure if veterans day has anything to do with it, but some people may not be on their usual schedules today. I guess what I'm saying is, the few responses you've recieved doesn't mean we're ignoring you I'm fairly sure an m50 owner will show up to provide some input.
edit: Here is a thread from some time back that discusses the m50s

Hey Brit,
My wife and I looked real closely at KEF (and I think it was q5's as well if I remember). That was before we discovered Axioms on audioreview.com. It was hard because the KEFs sounded pretty good in the store, but I couldn't resist the glowing reviews and low prices of the Axioms. We ended up buying a pair of m22's and a Hsu STF-2 and have never looked back. From what I can remember, the Axioms outperformed the KEFS, especially in terms of detail and clarity. I'm telling you, for performance-to-price ratio, you can't do any better than Axioms.

Oh yeah, and in case you're worried about ordering speakers you've never heard over the internet (as we all were), you will find no better customer service than Axiom. They really are a joy to work with. No pressure or sales gimmicks whatsoever. They just want you to be happy.
