Hi,
I am about to buy the m22s in Light Maple + Tan Grille, does the Tan Grille look like the Warm Tan Grille in the custom grille section (http://www.axiomaudio.com/img/Finishes/Grille_Tan.jpg)?

If yes I am probably better off with a custom Eggshell White Grille cloth, because I want the speaker to blend into my white walls as much as possible.

Any comments or pictures?

Thanks, Thomas

burkheart,

Yes, the two tans are basically the same.

I went with a light maple and ordered separate white grill covers for my QS8s - I think they look great, and do belnd in very well. go with the white covers - you won't be sorry.

Yep...would love to see pics...close up and from a distance to show how well they blend...

New house on the way and wanting to put QS8's up on a huge rear wall...need them to attempt to match the paint (my preference, wife's unknown suggestion)
Capn, show 'em if you got 'em...if not, take 'em.

very nice capn.. i remember whan you first posted the pics of the house when you bought it, i was curious how it would look once it was 'lived' in. thats a great looking place, and i love the floors. i am actually surprised that i like the maple/w white grills on the surrounds. it is a very clean, modern look. goes very well with the environment you have made in your living room.

thanks for sharing those pics.. its about time you got off you a$$

Yeah, yeah...It is about time I got off my @$$, but such is the high paced lifestyle of the rich and powerful (really I meant the struggling and dogged - such is the life of a young attorney...)

Anyway, tonight, I will try to post large versions of these pics...they came out so small its embarrassing...

Cap'n,

Don't let John give you too much of a hard time...

The color combination of the maple with the white grills looks like it may work in my new house...will have to get a sample and check it against the model to be sure...Very clean look...you don't really notice the surrounds unless you look for them...this is what I am trying to accomplish...New house and all, Sarah does not want to detract from the overall impact.

Looking forward to the larger images...

One question though: What color are the walls painted?
Hard to tell from the current images...

Thanks for the update.

Sorry, I couldn't wait due Axiom's price increase and ordered the light maple with tan grille. Fedex already delivered them today. I will take picture of that configuration when I get home and post them here within the next couple of days.

Let's see how my speakers look like ... I may upgrade to white, because the low-res maple+white speakers look really good. Curious to see high-res pics. Thanks Captn_Picard!

Regards Thomas

Sorry about the low-res pics again - I guess I'm living a low-res lifestyle right now.

Whatfurrer - it's funny you should ask about the wall color - I meant to mention that previously. The shade is an off-white, slightly tan color, with hints of gray. Note that the molding above at the ceiling is a pure white.
