I to was amazed at how good Green Day's Greatest hits album sounds. I don't know which CD you got, but the greatest hits is a great sounding CD.

If there's any Everclear fans here, their Greatest Hits disc sounds great, too. Can't wait until Nivana's new box set is available!!

One by One by The Foo Fighters also sounded awsesome last night at 90+dB! Tonight I will be re-discovering my grunge collection as I played a couple of Soundgarden tracks last night (Black Hole Sun, Spoonman) and was wondering why I hadn't listened for so long. What is everyones opinion on AudioSlave? I may pick up their CD tonight.

the audioslave cd is really good, and sounds good also. my one complaint might be that the cd has more slower songs than 'hard-driving' songs. they arent slow love ballads or nothing, but not the aggressive tempo that you would expect from a soundgarden/rage combo.? but overall, a good album.

also from the grunge days, if you have pearl jams 'verses', pop that one in. the drum work is incredible, and the guitars are very full and rich. well worth a revival..

Thanks for the Everclear tip, I'll have to pick that one up. Audioslave is definitely a worthwhile pickup as well. I just picked up Pearl Jam's greatest hits, that is a compilation full of good songs.
