I listened to M60s and Meadowlark Blue Heron 2s side by side for one week, and did over 100 A/B tests. The Meadowlarks cost $11,100 more than the M60s. Complete review:

In stereo mode, to most listeners (but not all) the Meadowlarks were better. However the M60s were very good.
In 5.1 vs stereo, Axioms were often better. This is fair since all speakers in a 5.1 array are vastly cheaper than the two Meadowlarks. It just shows there are many ways to do comparisons.
All speakers have unique characteristics. If you really like a speaker's sound, then buy that. There is no single "sonic truth" whereby all listeners will find one speaker superior to others.
