I read a recommendation in an earlier thread to use an M22 for a center instead of a VP100. I'm considering M22's as my mains (although haven't ruled out towers yet). Anybody compared these as centers?

I am using M22s as my mains and an additional one as the center. My decision was a VP-150 vs the M22. Based on a very reliable recommendation, I went with the M22. I absloutely love the result. Of course you can always order both and send back the one that loses the showdown. Happy decision making.

How do you have your center m22 positioned? laying down or upright?

It's laying down sideways on top of my TV (a 40" Toshiba widescreen). I put four anti-skid rubber feet along the front and wedged in two door stops behind it which causes the speaker to aim downward toward the listening position. I am very happy with the result. With all M22s across the front, I don't think the sound could be any more consistent. Unless of course I stood up the center. But I don't think that is going to happen in my set-up anytime soon.
