WOW!! I never took nary a peek at the boxed up M50s for 4 days while I patiently waited for the M60s to arrive, 4 of the longest days I do believe I can ever recall.
Anyway, the M60s are simply awesome...I cannot get over just how good they sound, and I don't even have the QS4s and VP100 hooked up yet. These things are amazing!
I do have the EP175 hooked up and to be quite honest I really can't tell that much of a difference between it and the Infinity PS-8 I already had, especially for the gap in price between the two. So, what I did, I used them both. I placed the 175 to the right and a little behind my right M60 and put the Infinity diagonal which seems to work great. I've tried everything, the 175 alone, the Infinity alone but this placment seems to work the best, but who knows what may happen whenever I get the HT going.
Would two of the smaller subs like I have work just as well as a single that is larger?
Oh, did I tell you...I LOVE THESE SPEAKERS!
Oh also, the room is 12 X 22.

Glad to hear the 60s worked out as well as you hoped. Enjoy !!
Two smaller subs will probably be as good as a larger sub in terms of ability to play loudly, but they *generally* won't go as deep into the bass as a larger sub.
With M60s I still think you should sell the Infinity, return the EP175 and get a 350 with the $$, but that's just me
M60ti, VP180, QS8, M2ti, EP500, PC-Plus 20-39 M5HP, M40ti, Sierra-1 LFR1100 active, ADA1500-4 and -8

Bridgman, yep, I think I may end up doing just that. The rep told me to go ahead and try the 175 and if it didn't work to just return it and Axiom will pay shipping both ways...looks like, yet another trip to FedEx.
In that small of a room I, I mean WE,(wife and I) really could use the space anyway. Yea...that's what I'm telling her!
BTW, Axiom pays shipping both ways only if an upgrade is ordered. A straight return the customer pays for the return shipping.

Are you aware that the EP500 is only like 2" bigger than the 350 in one direction and the same in the other two?
If you're selling it on "great sound per square foot of space used" the 500 is a bigger value!

LOL, man...you guys are tough!
Although the 500 would be great I don't want to push it too far, and besides I ordered the 350 while I was on the way to the FedEx station to get the M50s sent back.
She did buy the '1 is better than 2 story though'!

Nope, that notion was put to rest years ago.

Cue Horn Fanfare.
BrotherBob:
Let me officially welcome you (well, OK, I have no authority to "officially" welcome you... ummm, crap. Let me start again).
BrotherBob:
(oh wait.....Cue Horn Fanfare.)
(there)
BrotherBob:
Let me be the FIRST to welcome you to the M60 club!
And for those brothers and sisters that pursue music reproduction through parallel by different means such as M50s and M40s, I say:
