Hello All,
I just ordered and received Axiom QS8's... Wow... Awesome !
My question is do you think the VP 150 will overpower the M22TI's. I don't have room for tower speakers so the M22TI's are the best I can do. Or should I go with the VP 100. Thanks for your replies

It's definitely not going to overpower the M22s -- you're going to want to calibrate them all to the right levels anyways and there is only a dB or two between VP100 and VP150. If you look at the US pages 2 of the 3 Epic Grand Master configurations use the VP150 with M22s.

The worst you're going to do is spend $150 you didn't absolutely have to spend... and if your room is medium-large then it's probably money well spent.

hello grumpy
I have a vp150 m22tis and qs8s in a small studio. I mean small. I'm not sure of the dimensions, but I sit only about 9-10 feet from the center/mains. I've never had a problem or noticed my center overpowering my m22s. But, bridgman is right, part of that is calibration. You'll definately want to get a disc (DVE or Avia) and a ratshack sound pressure level meter and tweak away.

Doc, welcome. As the previous replies indicate, one speaker can never "overpower" another, since you calibrate the volume levels of each to reach a balance.

Thanks Guys,
It makes sense that I need to calibrate each speaker. I am kinda new to the audio thing. Thanks for your replies.
