Does anyone who owns a 3805 be able to tell me if there is a way to display on the TV your remote control commands? My Denon is in a closet with an IR repeater. Problem is I can't see what volume level I've got it set on or any other command that I give it...any idea's? By the way the m-60's,v150,qs8's and LFM-1 Sub ROCK!! I love the Axioms!

Huh. My H/K displays what it is doing on the TV incessantly. I don't need to know it's Dolby Digital every time I change the volume!
Do you have your video being switched by the Denon, or do you do your video switching directly through the TV?

On the HKs you should be able to disable that. I think it's called "Semi-OSD". In the Advanced menu (at least on the x30s) there is a setting for how long the Semi-OSD should stay up on the screen. Set it to zero and it goes away.
I find it handy for seeing what's going on without my glasses, but it is really annoying when I am wearing glasses

Volume level,DTS,7 channel or 5 channel/ Dolby/THX/ cinema/ are some of the settings I'd like to see diplayed. They are on the denon front panel but not the TV.

On the 2805, the remote has an "on screen display button" where I can turn the function off or on, so I'm sure the 3805 has a simular feature.
Have you checked system set-up?

i believe there's an "on screen" keypad just above the divider on the remote. if i remember correctly it should be visible regardless of the menu you're on. i'd give you a definite answer, but i'm at work now.

There is a Display button on the Denon remote. If you have video cable going to you TV it should display some basic info.
Axiom stuff, Denon stuff, & Sony stuff

I believe snake eyes may have something. I have the denon setup set to "display" and still nothing. I've got all component video hook ups. Nothing s-video....I guess I'm out of luck?

Can't you also run a svideo from your Denon to the TV in addition to the component? That's how I have my HK set up.

I'm not sure. I thought I'd run one or the other. The component video hookup was supposed to have better image quality so thats what I went with. I wouldn't do both would I? Do you have both hooked up for that reason?
Thanks

You may have a system setup wrong. Check bottom page 21 and top page 49 of Denon manual.

Let me see if I can help.
1) If you are looking to see the TV or the 3805 display the name of the command/button you are pushing on your remote - isn't going to happen.
2) If you want to take advantage of the 3805's On Screen Display (OSD), the simplest, least expensive and most effective way is to run an S-Video cable from the "Monitor Out" on the 3805 to a free VID connection on your TV. See the boxes comments on pages 21 and 49 of your 3805 manual.
When you want to use the OSD, you must switch to the appropriate VID connection on your TV and then hit the appropriate OSD command (Pge 49 of your 3805 manual) to get the OSD (setup menu) on the screen.
Good luck with it.

Yes I have them both hooked up, I use the TV to switch between the two. I use component for viewing dvds and the svideo just for the menus.
