Seems like I'm hearing different thoughts on speaker cable size so I am curious to know if a pair of M80s will need 12ga or 14ga for a run of 20 or shorter? I have all of my existing HT speakers (including M60 mains) wired with 14 ga and still have quite a lot left from the Lowe's spool that I bought, just wondering if this will be good enough for the 80s?

14 gauge will be just fine.

yes, the 14g will be just fine. i believe the 12g is suggested on runs over 30feet. and since you already have some 14g laying around, that should make the decision that much easier.
EDIT- great link jack!!

Thanks fellas, and Jack thanks much for the link. I had it bookmarked on my old AOL but we've since rid ourselves of AOL and went DSL with another provider and the bookmark went with it...so now I have it once again!
