I just boutht a new DVD today (The Ring). I selected DTS from from the DVD menu and the movie plays without sound. I have the DVD set to bitstream. With the movie playing I tried using the 'Audio' button and it pulled up a menu. When I selected DTS a caption appeared that stated 'DTS decoder needed'. However, the DTS insignia is stamped right on the DVD player. I have a Toshiba SD2800. Any ideas?

I love that movie. Scared the bejesus out of me in the theater. I'd love to get the DVD, but you just can't be scared the same way twice.
I heard the transfer to DVD was awesome, too.

If you liked the American knock off, get a copy of the original Japanese movie (Ringo). I believe it's being released shortly. Supposedly, way better.

Well it was OK........not really scary. I think the only movie that has ever given me chills is the Excorcist.
