I've just purchased a VP50 and pair of M3's for my HT setup. I use Cerwin-Vega LS5's for the surrounds and an Axiom AX500 (I think) for the sub that I received as a gift. My Technics receiver is older, with 80W x 5 in power, and a peak of 83W. Is this receiver powerful enough for the Axioms to not risk clipping during action movies?
Thanks

This seems like a pretty good combination. Any amplifier will clip at some volume level; the key is to have enough power to achieve the level you desire in your room before clipping. If your system is not playing loud enough for you then either more power or the M80s and a VP150 is the answer.
