Hi:

I am getting ready to lay the wiring and have issue for surround speakers..Cannot run the cable through wall.
I was thinking of putting the monoprice 12AWG under the carpet and then using the axiom flat cable to get it up the wall.
Anybody done this? Does the cable show after painting?
Any photos i can take to Home Minister for approval ;)..wife approval process is important..esp when she has allowed me to go ahead with my dream room

Also, Alan recommended M60 for the fronts..but wanted to know if i will miss a lot compared to M80s. If price diff is not an issue..should i be going with M80s?

how big is your room and how loud do you listen? the 60's are great speakers and I owned them for many years before going to the 80's. They are very similar sounding.

60s vs 80s iS a tough call. Some find the differences subtle, some find them quite noticable. In direct a/b comparisons I found the 80s to be more detailed and transparent. Enough so that I found the extra money well worth it. Either will be plenty loud for most rooms. I could probably blow both my eardrums and windows with the 80s in my modest 11x20x8' room.

Is there anybody local that owns either speaker? Perhaps by ordering one speaker you can set up a local a/b comparison.

I listen to classical and indian classical/vocal..and ofcourse a lot of movies..blockbuster unlimited. Love the action movies loud
