There are 2 B&M shops in my area. One sells HK and Integra, while the other sells Denon, Yamaha, and Pioneer Elite. I checked the HK and Denon web sites to see if they were indeed authorized dealers. Both sites don't have them listed as authorized dealers. Is this an oversight by HK and Denon or are some B&M's unauthorized dealers?

If online dealers can do it, I wouldn't be horribly surprised if B&Ms can do it too. Of course, the only way to be sure would be to call H/K and Denon.

I was able to find a toll free number for Denon and the operator told me that the dealer just across the river from me that sells Denon products is not, I repeat not, an authorized dealer adding "I don't know where they are getting this stuff." The funny thing is they always stick real close to retail price. I'm never going into that place again.

Well, I guess I won't be buying a new receiver there. But, at least my speakers were purchased from an Authorized Dealer.
