I recently picked up a pair of m22ti's to accompany my VP100. I am just trying them out so i can figure out what I want to do. Let me just say, to begin with I wanted the m60ti's, but after hearing the m22ti's I love them. Unbelievable. But I am concerned whether or not they'll be enough in the long run. I pushed them fairly hard, no bass I have a sub, and they really go load without clipping. I was just wondering what everyone else's experience is with them. My other concern is that the vp100 doesn't seem to keep up with the m22's. I wonder if this is the amp? I figured that they should be a perfect match!?

I have the VP100 matched with M22s. I think the CC matches perfectly. I've always had this little voice in the back of my head telling me that the M22s are good, but could be better. I am probably in the minority in this opinion, but I'm going to say it, anyway. As impressed as I was with the M22s when I first purchased them, I was more impressed with the VP100. Maybe it was the fact that the CC was so small in size, but yet performs so well.

So then you think I should hold off for the m60's?

I've never heard the M60s and I wouldn't want to sway you either way. They are many on the board who own both and could be a better judge than I. Don't get me wrong, the M22s are fine speakers. They started me off on my HT journey. I liked them well enough to purchase the VP100 and the QS8 surrounds. If you really like the M22s and have a good sub to handle the low end , I wouldn't suggest you spend the extra $ on the M60s unless your sure you need a floorstander.

My sub actually isn't anything noteworthy, actually I really dislike it. But I can't seem to find a sub that feels natural without being muddy. So far I really liked a 12" Velodyne I saw. I also had a line on a Cerwin Vega 15" sub for $500 CND. But I am not sure....

Have a look at Hsu and SVS. Well, I suppose that might be difficult, with them lacking in B&M stores, but if you can find someone to audition them for you that might help. I spent a long time shopping for subs before I got mine (which I now believe is nothing special, but it's certainly not horrid and boomy). I know what you're talking about with the muddy. Keep looking...

I started with the M22s and later upgraded to the M60s (just because I wanted tower speakers). I thought both speakers sounded great. In fact, I'm still using the M22s as surrounds for multi-channel music.

If you do not plan on upgrading your sub, you may want to consider the M60s. They do a really good job...even without a sub. If an upgraded sub is in your future, the M22 may be the best bet for you. However, if you plan to buy stands for the M22s, the price difference between the two isn't as significant.

Before I ordered my HSU VTF3, I called HSU and they suggested the VTF2. I got the 3, because I like to overdo things, a bit. I am very happy with it. I believe there are Canadian dealers, also.

I have the m22ti's. Yes, they will go louder and deaper than the VP100. For one, the VP line of speakers have no ports in the back, leading to this difference. An enclosed speaker will have a harder time keeping up with the other mains.

However, in movies it should be absolutely no problem with dialogue. It should sound the same. In music, however, you will see a little bit of a difference.

If you wanting something louder, I would recommend going strait to the m80’s because youll probably get the 60’s then you’ll start looking at the 80’s and wondering what your wondering now… also keep in mind the 100 is a center channel, its designed for voices in movies ect.. hence the lack I ports I would assume? The 22’s are meant to be stereo speakers, and probably designed and intended to play louder than the 100 was? So depending on how much louder you want, you have to decide at what point you will be happy.
