Well, I've got this Yammie DVD-C750 now, and while I'm generally happy with it, there's one feature that's not working at all--the disc memory. It's supposed to automagically save the last point where you stopped the disc when you're playing a DVD, so you can start it up again later. This is supposd to work for up to 10 discs, although the changer only holds 5. Cool, right?

It doesn't work. I can't figure out how to make it save my last watched point on a DVD. It works for SACDs--not that I care where I stopped listening on those, really. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone have a unit like this?

I don't think I have a warranty on it; it was pretty much B or C stock (hence cheap), and it's certainly not a big enough deal to pay for a repair. But it is irritating.

Ken, the manual says merely that the resume play for up to 10 discs is "possible"; there's no guarantee, and you're rather presumptious to view this as an entitlement.

Okay, seriously, it seems that unless you press stop twice(or maybe press it too long?), which cancels resume, it should work. Possibly this is the work of evil spirits which can only be expelled by prayer and fasting, but I suppose that you could do this too.

Are you, perchance, powering the changer via your H/K? If so, then when it's off, bye-bye memory... ???

Nope, it's directly on the UPS with everything else.

JohnK, I think that's what I'm looking for. I'll give it a shot. Thank you!

I don't know if this thing is complicated enough or not...
