Here's the news I receive , this morning, from HDTV supply, on the shipping status report:


We would like to inform you that your recent purchase of the Avia 2 DVD is
still in post production until July 15th 2007.

We have been in constant contact with the manufacturer and they assure us
that the new product will be worth the wait. It will have better Audio and
visual then the previous released.


Please accept our sincere apologies, we hope that this has not cause you any
inconvenience


Well, I will have to wait an another month !
Does anyone receive it yet ?

Given that it's in post production, I kinda doubt it.

I emailed them as well the other day. They said Ovation Software was making some last minute tweaks to the product.

I had emailed Ovation directly about 2 weeks ago and had asked about the new discs. At that time, they said they were a little while away from finishing but would let me know when they were available. I'd guess they'd have for sale before any resellers, if i hear anything first i'll let everyone know.

I just emailed HDTV again and asked why they would advertise a mid-may release and say they are the only vendor offering this first. They are now saying Aug-September. They said it is not their fault the mfg keeps sliding the date.

I told them it seemed like a shady sales tactic to get money up front, what a joke.

Just got mine today, wow my birthday was in May and I just got it, oh well time to play.

Better late than never.

I had entered my name on Ovation's website for automatic notification once the AVIA II disc became available. I finally received that notification today and noticed one interesting tidbit on the website that anyone state-side can take advantage of:

AVIA II Upgrade Program

But the BR is not ready yet, is it?

Not yet, though i recall seeing "late 2007" as an expected release date for HD-DVD and BluRay versions of AVIA II.
