DVI cable question

I'm going to buy a DVI cable for my computer. I would assume that considerations would be universal whether a cable is used for home theater or computers etc. With that in account, is there anything I should consider when purchasing a DVI cable? I am going to buy a 15 ft. cable. That's why I don't know if quality etc. for a computer monitor matters. I know gold plated ends would be superfluous. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You should check your V Card and monitor to see: If it is DVI-D or DVI-I, as well as if it is single or dual link
For most computer cards, you will be looking for a DVI-I Dual link

Thanks for that hint. I will check both. Any suggestions on cable quality? Or will any cable do?

For the computers - I used the cables that came with my Samsung 22 inch monitors.
For my AV system, I used Blue Jeans (though no DVI in it, it is HDMI)

My video card (ATI Radeon 9600 Pro) has a DVI-I out, and my monitor (HP 2007) has a DVI-D in. Can I purchase a cable with different ends, or do I have to purchase an adapter for my video card? Also, neither of my manuals state whether the cables should be dual link or single link.
Thanks again

DVI-I is both, so you're fine. The only thing to check is if both ends have the cross on the side, as opposed to just a horizontal line. (I don't remember which is which).

Thanks for that web site. As per the web site recommendation, I just ordered a DVI-D cable.
Thanks for all the input
