Just wanted to let you know that today I upgraded to the Pre-Release candidate for the new Firefox Ver. 3 browser and among other niceties, it made a MAJOR difference speeding up how fast the Axiom board refreshes the screen when you move back and forth between posts and listings. Previously, since they changed (for the better) the board software, I was getting a bit of lag in the refresh times. Not enough to complain about, but enough to notice.

Axiom screen refreshes on my work LAN are now almost instantaneous!!

Note: This is not their actual finished release so there are almost definitely going to be bugs but so far I haven't noticed any.

Aside from some new nifty features, the speed difference alone is enough that I will risk the bugs until a more 'official' version is released.

If you are interested, it can be Downloaded Here.

I'm using the Beta5 version at the office, but I can't say I've seen a speed bump. I'll have to try RC1.

Are there still random horizontal lines that show when you scroll back and forth thru a thread??

I've been using the beta version at work for a while and just upgraded to RC1 today. I did notice a difference between FF2 and FF3, but not between the beta and the release candidate.

I'll be really happy when all my favorite extensions start to work with version 3.

hmm never had horizontal lines bet every situation is so unique. I went from standard release to newest pre-release and never tried the betas. For my laptop, the speed difference is proving very significant in almost every area.

I see some scrolling artifacts on my MBP, but no actual lines drawn. What I *do* see is the same old core leak crap.
