Started watching the Masterpiece Theater version of Jane Eyre. My sister said she liked it more than the book. So far I'm not sure what I think of it.

All right, so I liked Jane Eyre. Oh, and sorry for Americanising Masterpiece Theatre in my last post.

Let's see... last night it was Mythbusters: Water Stun Gun.

There you go, Charles.

X-Men: The Last Stand [Blu-ray]

You know, as much as I want to hate this movie because of Brett Ratner's involvement, as well as prevailing opinion, I still actually enjoy it. There are certainly some elements of crappiness, but overall, I still enjoy watching it, and it gives my EP600 a workout like no other movie I own.

Chocolate

I finally got around to seeing this Thai martial arts film. First off, the subtitles are a joke. They're almost total nonsense. Still, it's easy to gather that the movie falls into the typical bad martial arts film category. It's certainly what I was expecting. Of course, the reason I wanted to see it was for the action. While she doesn't have the onscreen authority of her fellow Thai contemporary, Tony Jaa, she has her share of insanity. It's amazing what these people can do. As in Jackie Chan movies, they show a reel of mishaps during the closing credits, and it really makes you wonder how they can will themselves through the shooting of ONE movie, let alone try to make a career of it. That's a lot of very real pain to go through for a little bit of cinema. Ouch!

That episode was weak until Jamie entered the Tesla coil.

Oh, I thought it was pretty decent. I get kinda tired of the usual explosionfest. Not to say there weren't explosions...
