Yeah, Jason, the graphics are good and the cities are pretty magnificent to behold viewed from up high, but the actual gameplay bogs the whole thing down. I'm stubborn, though, and will stick with it to see if it gets any better. . .

So yeah, I'm pretty much addicted to that puzzle quest game now.

Been playing Rock Band on 360 now for a few days... bro left his behind after Christmas day (mostly so he wouldn't keep avoiding work playing Gears of War 2).
Yeah, I'm still a one-and-a-half-trick-pony. Vocals on Expert for most non-screechy-metal songs, hard for those Geddy Lee/Rob Halfordy ones, and medium for songs I don't have the foggiest how the vocal line goes. I've gotten used to "sight-reading" the green/gold line instead of sheet music.
When I need to give the pipes a rest, I'll pick up the sticks and play drums, but the feel of the kick pedal keeps me on easy.
And the guitar/bass always baffled me. Being that I used to play bass, it doesn't feel the least bit similar to me.
Just find it kind of funny that when you get a Brit-popper, a west coast punk rocker and a bubble gum power-popper together to play... we gravitate towards playing arena rock?!?

I've been playing Goo a bit on my Wii! Yes, I said "Wii" even though it isn't listed on their site, I've got it... It was a downloadable game. I love Goo. Great game.

finally got around to playing rockband last night (the first one). A friend brought it over and we had a 4 man (actually 3 man and 1 girl) band going. My girlfriend really liked playing the drums.

Well, I've been playing World of Goo. I'm not terribly far, but I'm already feeling stupid and slow. I know if I was still a kid I'd be figuring this stuff out much faster. Still, I'm enjoying myself. I kind of wish it was higher-resolution, but other than that, it looks great and plays well. I felt bad for my brother-in-law, since he didn't get any gifts for Christmas, so I ordered him a copy, too. He doesn't have his yet, however. UPS likes to turn 2-day shipping into 3-day shipping a lot, so he'll have it tomorrow. I imagine my nephew will be the first one to finish the game, but hopefully my head start will keep me ahead of him for a few minutes, anyway.
