I have a Tripp-lite Voltage Regulator / Line conditioner that I want to use with my Yamaha Reciever RX-V2700. Problem may be that it is too small. It is model LS604 and says output 120V 600 watts.

http://www.tripplite.com/EN/products/Discontinued-Products.cfm?ID=207

This is taken from my recievers manual:

GENERAL
• Power Supply
[U.S.A. and Canada models] .............................. AC 120 V, 60 Hz
[General and Asia model]
....................................... AC 110/120/220/230–240 V, 50/60 Hz
[China model] .................................................... AC 220 V, 50 Hz
[Korea model] .................................................... AC 220 V, 60 Hz
[Australia model] ............................................... AC 240 V, 50 Hz
[U.K. and Europe models] ................................. AC 230 V, 50 Hz
• Power Consumption
[U.S.A. and Canada models] ................................. 500 W/630 VA
[Other models] ................................................................... 500 W
• Standby Power Consumption
[U.S.A. and Canada models] .................................... 0.1 W or less
[General model] (AC 240 V, 50 Hz) ...................... 0.33 W or less
[Other models] ......................................................... 0.1 W or less
• Maximum Power Consumption [General model only]
6ch, 10% THD ................................................................. 1100 W
• AC Outlets
[U.S.A. and Canada models] .... 2 (Total 100 W/0.8 A maximum)
[Asia, General and China models] ....... 2 (Total 50 W maximum)
[Australia and U.K. models] .... 1 (Total 100 W/0.4 A maximum)
[Europe model] ......................... 2 (Total 100 W/0.4 A maximum)
• Dimensions (W x H x D) ............................. 435 x 171 x 438.5 mm
(17.1 x 6.7 x 17.3 in)
• Weight .................................................................. 17.2 kg (37.9 lbs)

I have the USA model.

Does anyone know if this regulator will work with my reciever? I only use my reciever for 2.1 stereo.

Thanks.

I think that they still have the silver APC H15's on sale at audioholics for $150. The H15 is a larger capacity and a great price if you don't mind the silver finish. I've been happy with mine.

The TrippLite 600 watt unit will work just fine as it will only be required to supply much less than it's maximum unless you always listen to your reciever at max level. And even then, the duty cycle of typical audio will never approach the maximums that you have.

Thanks, Ace.

I decided to use the 600W in my living room for my LCD and game / movie devices. I'm going to use the 1100 watt version I had in the living room to my reciever. It was way overkill for what I was using it for. I should have thought of that 1st.
