Picking them up used is fine, or even last year's sports games are probably cheap if there is a good one. The only one I won't mind paying full price for is Gran Turismo 5 when it comes out in a couple of months.

has a release date been confirmed for gran turismo 5?

I am lookiung forward to that one as well!

To answer your question, you could always try metal gear solid 4, resistance 1 and 2, and if you like tactical online shooters you could go for socom confrontation,

GT5 is Q4 this year. I haven't seen an exact date, but it does not sound like it is getting pushed any further. I have seen a couple of confirmations that it will be coming out.

Metal Gear Solid...I might have to check that out. I liked the other ones in the series.

If you like survival horror/third person shooters, check out Dead Space. Playing it in surround sound with the lights out was a wonderful experience. It can be had for less than $30 these days. I think a prequel is in the works; can't wait.

I just finished playing Dead Space on the Xbox...the best Sci-fi horror experience I've played yet. Excellent game.

I've just gotten addicted to PixelJunk Monsters on PS3. My brother-in-law was making fun of me for being obsessed with 'rainbowing' the levels. Then he tried it and got hooked himself \:D

DeadSpace has been my favorite PS3 game to date.

Anyone MMO players looking towards the release of "Star Wars; The Old Republic" ?

Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection for Xbox 360. I only played a handful of games on each table, as it was making me angry. I hate losing balls.
