I started watching Bolt last night. Peter, I know what you mean about the bass. It starts hitting you right away. It was shaking my house as much as any movie I've watched.

La Femme Nikita

The original film by Luc Besson, not the TV series. I haven't really liked much of his work, with Leon: The Professional being the only one I liked enough to own. I figured I should at least watch La Femme Nikita, however, since it went on to inspire the American remake, Point of No Return and the Canadian TV series, La Femme Nikita, which in turn inspired Alias. The film definitely shows its age, with enough of it just seeming tacky now. I liked the film well enough overall, but yeah, it's another one I don't feel the need to own.

I just started watching Slumdog Millionaire, and holy cow, the plane flying overhead and then the helicopter are shaking my whole house. Between Battlestar Galactica, Bolt, and now this, I'm having a fun time with my subs lately.

I liked Slumdog Millionaire. I figured I would. I didn't know what to expect from the soundtrack, so yeah, I was surprised at how much low bass there was in a movie with a storyline that doesn't seem to call for it.

CV,
Do you have the Battlestar Galactica Season 4? Do you recommend it?

I don't have it. I actually just started watching season one, and I probably won't be watching any more until they're on Blu-ray, or if I have the patience to Netflix them.

I went to the theater to watch I Love You, Man today with my coworker/best friend and her husband. We all liked the movie a lot. Those kinds of movies, with that kind of humor, are hit or miss for her, and she thought they pulled it off really well this time, which I agree with. I thought they balanced it very well.

Then we went to dinner, and I asked her husband how he felt being a third wheel.

Instead of going to bed, I'm going to watch the rest of Barry Lyndon. I got about 30 minutes into it this afternoon, but the kids had other plans...

Oh, yeah, and JP, there's plenty of Rush in the movie, so be happy.
