Last night I was watching (in the stadium, not on TV) my Houston Dynamo beat Philly and move on to the conference finals. Go Dynamo!

Nothing wrong with watching Jennifer Garner. Elizabeth: The Golden AgeOverall, not the most emotionally involving movie, but it had some good performance moments, and it may be the epitome of lavish and ornate costumes and sets. Soooo pretty to look at in high-def. I'd recommend the double feature Blu-ray set ( Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age) which is going for $10.99 on Amazon.com right now based on the visuals alone. The audio was actually pretty decent as well. A lot of the time quieter period pieces can seem more impressive just because it's not beating you over the head with the sound. Nice atmosphere throughout, and when the cannons on the ships got to firing, it was appropriately jarring.

If you don't get hooked on Six Feet Under during the first season, I think you're slightly broken. I'm slightly broken. There are moments, but the characters tend to exasperate me. This could be mitigated with better direction, but I have problems with the heavy hand. I find the device of having the characters converse with the dead a bit tedious, and it's never quite as profound or funny as it wants to be. Still, I'm going to continue watching for a while and see if my opinion changes. My friend, Jen, really likes it, and after she's liked all of the shows I've subjected her to, I feel the need to react positively to one of her favorites.

Nothing wrong with watching Jennifer Garner.
Elizabeth: The Golden Age ...or Cate Blanchett, for that matter.

Apparently, I'm broken in some of the same ways as Charles, whose insightful review of Six Feet Under was marvelous.
I recorded the Rush Time Machine 2011 special on Palladia this weekend. Looking forward to watching it.
Chuck used to be amusing. I'm not sure what their shark-jumping moment was, but it happened.
