Watched the first 2 LOTR movies in BR last 2 days, seem slike the PQ is set up a little darker than on DVD but the detail is better when you get a chance to see it. The audio is outstanding.

I watched Return of the King on Saturday. It may be a new subwoofer reference disk.

I have RotK loaded in the BR player and so far I am enjoying the extended edition except for the fact you hvae to change discs part way through the movie. It would have been nice if they just made 2 seperate discs, one with English and French or Spanish and one with the other languages on it, then again the break in the middle to change the disc is a nice intermission.

Hmm. I watched a Netflix copy. It was only three hours and twenty minutes.
Sean Astin was the second best actor in those movies behind Ian McKellan.

Charles, it's great that you're always so good natured about all the ribbing, but, in truth, JP is jealous of anything that requires a haircut. Now that's funny! And well-deserved.

Aren't those always the kind of movies that you desperately want to be good and they never are?
Such a waste of the talents---like Star Wars.
