My wife is employed by Bakersfield Medical Center, but works at their clinic where we live in Tehachapi. I've been trying unsuccessfully in the last year to try and get her to take a job on the Central Coast. She loves the mountains, I love the water, she works, I stay home, she wins.

I know where that is, funny thing is I had never been to Kern County or even heard of Tehachapi until we moved here 8 years ago from the OC.

Michael I barely remember California, we moved whenever I was three and about all I remember is snow on the mountaintops and bright oranges in the trees but I'd really like to make a trip out there one of these days just for the heck of it.

If you go back to the middle ages it seems that medical texts were called "leech books" but hospitals were still called hospitals.
