Shoot, I just opened the EP800 only to find an EP600 inside...at least that is what the label on the box says. Does anyone know if Axiom uses the EP600 boxes for the EP800? I'm hoping that's the case because I'm trying to avoid any extra/unecessary unpacking, re-packing, and moving of this behemoth

If there are two drivers sticking out of the box, it's an 800. The 600 has only one.

The 800 and 600 are the same size, so they could easily use the same box.

Take the grill off the sub and if you see 2 drivers than you have the EP800. If there is just 1 driver it is the EP600. You can also check the sticker at the back of the sub which will tell you exactly what model it is.

In the past I have seen EP800's delivered in what is labelled EP600 boxes with a 800 sticker covering the 600 portion.

I haven't actually unpacked it yet to find out, just going by what it says on the box. This thing is huge and the process to unpack it and then re-pack it is something I'd prefer to avoid if possible. Plus, I'd rather keep the box & packaging in as new condition as possible so that Axiom won't have to re-package it if/when it gets sent back.

That's what I'm hoping. I'm just waiting for someone to verify or confirm that Axiom simply shares boxes/packaging between products. I'd call them but it's a holiday weekend in Canada.

Yes! I don't have the 800 sticker (ie. it still says 600), but maybe they just forgot.

What does it say on the shipping bill? If it says EP800, the only way you'll be able to verify is to open the box.

It certainly wouldn't be uncommon for them to use the EP600 box. I have seen pictures in the past as such except they had 800 pasted over the 600.

Don't be afraid to open up the box and check. It is the only way to find out. Like I said earlier they have used EP600 packaging in the past.

Is there any other stickers on the box such as a serial number where it would show the model #?

My first Axiom order was all “v2”speakers but came in “ti” boxes. My guess is Axiom hasn’t had the need to make a new order for boxes yet and are just using what works for now.

Send that thing to south Florida, I'll let you know what's in the box.

I didn’t really have to unpack my EP500 when I got it. The box was so totally destroyed by DHL it just pulled apart. Astonishingly there was no damage at all to the sub.

Yup, that's what I plan on doing.

Yeah, I know Still only had time to unpack the M80's so far, hopefully tonight I will get to the sub.

LOL, not patience, just pre-determined plans. This weekend was basically already booked full of activities and commitments, and I wasn't expecting to get the speakers so soon, so I really only have a few minutes here and there. Tonight I will try and hook up the M80's at least.

Hmm... I think I've left Axiom boxes unopened for a day, but never two.

I think there was someone whose Axiom boxes went unopened for a couple days -- but only because they were delivered to the wrong person's porch.

My first Axiom order went unopened for about 3 weeks, but then they were in Phoenix and I was in Incirlik.

It was painful for me, had to keep blocking them out of my mind and stop myself from sneaking off every five minutes. It was my wedding anniversary and we had plans booked a while ago, I think Noreen just wanted to torture me.
