i have a bid in right now on an Axiom auction for a pair of M50's. Am a little nervous (what have I done?) but am hoping to win the auction, and then I look forward to getting the speakers. My goal was to have the great sound I now enjoy from my M3's, but without feeling the need for a subwoofer.

I have a really small listening room.

No worries, the addition of the extra bass driver along with substantial increase in cabinet size will supply you with all the extra bass you will need for your space requirements.

I've thought about adding a pair of M50's to what I already have. Do you think this would sound better than what I have?

LR currently: M22 bookshelf + M22 on wall. (See sig line)
LR proposed: M50's + M22 bookshelf mounted on wall above M50's.
C = vp150 + M2
Sub = ep350

So! I hope to be receiving them pretty soon. Got some major room re-arrangement to do, and actually I have to decide which of 3 small rooms to put them in. Seems every appropriate wall is messed up by a closet door or a window with an AC unit in it.

I need to figure out how far from the wall they should stand while playing, and then what the shortest recommended distance from the speakers would be, for the sitting place. (chair, couch, etc)

Reading to do!
smile
ps: I have to say that for me to buy a SECOND pair of speakers form the same co. - that says quite a lot.

Thanks and will do! got my shipping notice already, so I wish my new speakers safe travels as they are moved down from Canada to the heat of Florida.
