Allow me to retort with one of my favorite (go-to) quotes:
“The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it.”

As I've said elsewhere:
Religion is not science and therefore is not subject to proof. Science is not religion and therefore is not subject to belief.
Stop mixing them up please, everyone.

Stop mixing them up please, everyone. Nice. I'm stealing this.

Stop mixing them up please, everyone. But then we wouldn't have a good, inflammable, hot topic to debate (argue over).

The more and more I learn about physics and sciences, the more and more I realize we really don't know anything (1) and there is most likely something much greater than ourselves. (2)
The bulk of scientific discoveries have been to prove previous scientific facts as false.(3) (1) Overgeneralize much? (2) You may be right. But that shouldn't discourage scientific inquiry, should it? (3) Says who? There's a lot of scientific discoveries that don't contradict anything. Rather, they add something entirely new to our knowledge base. Then, there's a lot of scientific discoveries that reinforce current theories.
