From this post forward, I will be confining all of my disingenuous nonsense here. It will be easier to find, simpler to ignore.

If ya didn't see the screen name progessing toward something, well, then...

It's very funny to log in and see "Welcome GOD" in the upper right of the page.

You know my attention span, so I'll just be GOD for a while, then, who knows?

MANDOLINE WIND

I started looking to purchase a mandoline yesterday.
Every search engine brought me to mandolin stuff. I looked it up in Webster's, to be sure I was spelling it correctly, and it wan't in there.

So I drove to the kitchen store to see if they had any at all, just to be sure that the internet was wrong, and there they were.

I returned home and added some slice-and-dice words to my search, and bang, scores of 'em.

$20-$250. Hmmm? Was planning to top out @ c-note.
Let's check out some of the user reviews for the better ones.

"It's the best ever!" "It's a piece of shit and I sent it back the next day."

"It performed nicely even on an over-ripe tomato."
"I tried a firm tomato and got chunks, seeds and puddles, but no slices."

"The slicing options are great." "The slider bed is too narrow."

So, now my original excitment over getting something I've thought about for decades has been stalled-----muddied and confused by opinions.

I'm beginning to sorely miss uninformed, trial and error consuming. How do you think people end up with 3 blenders, 6 vegetable peelers and a Renault?

BlasphemerBob!

At first, I thought you were talking about your musical talents. That came as something of a surprise.

And then, the knives. Okay.

Well, since you've been pondering buying one for decades, you probably don't need it very badly.

We got a Borner V-Slicer years ago. Still have it. I only use it occasionally, but when I do, it doesn't piss me off. Which is really what I'm looking for out of a kitchen gadget. No plans to upgrade.

may i remind you, or direct your (short) attention (span) to the fact that i'm an atheist.
which means you're not; - remember the famous "to be or not to be"?

or you're nuts.

I think I'll go with that screen name after I've used this one up.

Yes, the Borner is very highly rated, but some housebound bitch in Minnesota said "NG."

And it doesn't crinkle, nor carry the waste to the compost bins. I think the >$200 do?

I very much appreciate the link. Was all over it yesterday.

BTW, WTF do you think you are to decide when or if someone "needs" expensive ephemera. Killjoy bastard!

I shoulda smacked you before the beatification, you know, when I was still corporeal.

GOD doesn't care if you're an atheist.
Remember, HE doesn't believe in a higher power either.

My turn, my turn. You know every group that suppresses and kills others, whether in the past, or now, is not a Christian, or Godly group. (I know, old testament excepted.) This includes Catholicism. They are only interested in pursuing their own agenda and prolonging their own interests. So, IMO, anything that comes out of the Vatican is straight out of hell. So, therefore you are the God of hell. LOL.

God is only God if He's the God that acts like my God.
