I finally beat the boss I was stuck on on resonance of fate. Took a couple days to level up and learn the ins and outs of te battle system, but even then it took me 4 tries to beat him. I am finding this game extremely fun and the battle system rewarding (but tough at times). Anyone who is a fan of the J-RPG style game should definitely give this a try

I've been thinking about "LA Noire" recently. . . I think because of my love/hate relationship with it.

I loved the concept of solving crimes and trying to read the suspects. The feel of L.A. was great and I loved the integration of the city into the plot.

What I hated was the arc of the narration. . . .what was a moving and involving narrative about Phelps fell apart near the end and the last third or fourth act of the game was clumsy. I'm being vague. . .trying not to spoil it for those that haven't played it yet.

It bothers me because the game really was something different and special. . . but it lost a bit of focus.

I've opened up my copy of Max Payne 3 and if you have both the PS3 and 360, the 360 version is two disks. Disk one has half the single player and multiplayer and disk two is the rest of the single player.

At Future Shop I got a $20 off coupon (shows up on the receipt for Max Payne 3) for GTA V which is an added bonus which I didn't expect.

I'm in the middle of chapter 3 right now and the single player is pretty darn good. When there is a large lag in development in a series they usually are disappointing but not in this case. This game wraps you right in from the beginning.

Rog and I got our copies of Diablo III at midnight and played until 5am. (I'm getting waaay too old for that shit)

So far I'd give it a mixed review. It's not much different than Diablo II as far as game play goes. The story/dialog is a bit weak. The ability to customize your character through skill leveling and stats is very limited.

Hopefully they can improve upon the customizationabilty (is that a word? It should be.) with future updates.

You can play at four different levels. "Normal" should be renamed "easy", as it's the lowest level and is damn easy. It's essentially a tutorial level. After 5 or so hours of play I've only had to drink one healing potion, and even then, I probably could have gotten by without it.

That said, it's still the best button masher I've played since Diablo II.
