LOL.... You can't be shocked that I haven't seen the movie, can you? I just thought you were talking about a cute girl. Not a cute girl!

Or it's all a carefully planned ploy to pretend you have not seen the movie, four times.

Since Sean was so good to find me a copy of The Devils that was NOT $100, I bought it. Well...
When I opened it I was a bit freaked to see that all of the text was in Korean! (I'm not kidding). Bill saw it on the dining table and was all, like, "Bob, if this has Engrish subtitles, I'm not watching it!" I checked it out. English or Spanish were the language choices, w/ or w/o Korean subtitles, so I was relieved.
We were holding out to watch it until a college friend of mine could come visit, as all of us had seen it in the theatres (1971) and were knocked out (or knocked about) by it.
I had already put it in the br player to make sure it would work and all was cool.
So, after dinner, we sat down to watch. I should have suspected something fishier when I noticed that the box said it was in "latter" format. The imagage was about 12 x 24." It was hardly the restored version I was suposed to be ordering. The voice track and the lips were not in synch, ever, through the entire film. It didn't have any deleted scenes in it, either.
So it was an original version of the dvd that had visited a Korean copy mill and was riding on the attention given to the re-released (a month ago) and restored version.
Caveat Emptor, indeed!!!!
Disappointed? Yes. Pissed? No. We got to see a film none of us had seen for forty years for $40 instead of $100. It must have really rattled us when we were young, as we all recalled each and every scene as though we had just seen it a couple of years ago. It was still great fun.
And I do not blame Sean for this in any way. There are so many other shitty things about his personality to focus on.

Well, geez, Bob, you never specified you wanted a GOOD copy of the movie.
Pfffft!
