On the bottom of one of the speakers I received there are 2 holes that were left untapped. The ones that were are recessed about a quarter inch so the spikes barely reach the tread so the use of the spikes provided is not feasible. Is the cabinet resonance I'm hearing due to this or will this disappear with break-in? My floor is concrete with carpet and pad.

Hi Jeff;

I'm very surprised to hear about the problems with your M60 -- very unusual! There shouldn't be any problem with the inserts nor with cabinet resonance. I think the best idea is for us to send you a new pair of M60s right away and to have yours returned to us after the holiday rush, so we can investigate the issues here at the factory. Could you please email me so I'm sure I have the right person? Amie

I put the speakers on small bricks to get them off the floor and this did help a great deal. I do not hear any resonance now.
