I'm considering my options for a sub, I've been considering either 2 EP175's, or 1 EP350. However, I was thinking about it, and remembered I have 2 Eclipse (car audio) 12" aluminum subs I'm not using. These are pretty high end subs for car audio (I've won multiple trophies using them), I was curious how well you all think they would sound in a home theatre? (with the right size box and amp of course).

To me, I would guess they'd sounds great (based on the fact they sound awesome in my car)... However, if they did work good in home theatre, why arent more people doing it?

Any thoughts?

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Joe,

give those car subs a try, first.

If not, two EP175's might be better than one EP350. Does your receiver allow for stereo subs? If so, I would definitely go with two EP175's. however, even if it doesn't, it probably still is the best decision.

I guess I could try the car subs first.. Any thoughts on a good (powerful) amp I could use to run them? (I don't care if I use one big amp, or 2 smaller ones (one for each sub)). I just know these subs are power hungry, so I'm gunna need a healthy amp powering them.

Thanks!
