Hate to burst the bubble as well, but the only Energy speakers that I've heard that I'd even consider buying are the C-3 (for in a small room, without real critical listening) or jumping up to their Veritas series. I had the Veritas 2.2 and Axiom M60ti in my home for a week and did extensive listening test with them. (Even bought a switcher). I was very hard pressed to choose between them. I ended up keeping the Axiom M60's, for their slightly more detailed sound and FAR cheaper price.
Good luck with your shopping. It's half the fun of the audio hobby!

Wow! Kylie Minogue's dad is a member now
Can't comment on the Energy speakers, I'm sure others will chime in, but I love my Axiom M60's.

Thanks for the advise, guys.
The Energys are on sale for $650 plus tax and that is about as much as I can spend on the front speakers so if I buy Axiom, I guess I'm looking at the M50s?
I did see a pair of M60s just now on Ebay for $525 but I don't know how I feel about that. It would help the budget and give me more money to spend on the sub and stuff.
Anyone evr buy speakers off of Ebay?

Thanks Snippy. How do you think the M50s would compare to those energy C-9s? They only have 2 drivers and the C-9s have 4. The C-9s seem to be more speaker for your money.
I do plan on getting a whole new home theater system so even if i do get those M60s on ebay i'll still need the surrounds and stuff and maybe then i'd get the experience of that custumer service. Thanks again.

Minor correction: the M50s have 3 drivers. Also, if number of drivers counted, we'd all have those 4 or 5 way "studio monitors" from the 70s and 80s.

Nice to see ya back Ken, was wondering if you went A-Wall on us? The M50's would be a fine choice also, as well as the M22's with a kick'n sub.

In reply to:
The C-9s were boxy, wooly and sibilant
That's how I heard them as well.
