I can't believe the MPAA thinks this would ever pass.

What a freakin joke
Before you go thinking someone dropped a steamer in the gene pool... bbspot is satire, like the Onion.

Bren R.
Hey MPAA, Go **** yourself.
It's funny because it could be true.
Indeed.

"Just because you buy a DVD to watch at home doesn't give you the right to invite friends over to watch it too. That's a violation of copyright and denies us the revenue that would be generated from DVD sales to your friends," said Glickman. OK, when I factor in buying a DVD, I factor in that I am not the only one that is going to watch it.

I mean, I picked up Superman Returns tonight for something like $16. If I was the only one that could watch it for $16, I wouldn't buy it, but I figure that since my wife, and at least my oldest child will watch it, that is $16 / 3 or $5.33 each, and worth it. Not worth it at $16 * 3 ($48 for those keepin' track).

But, BrenR is right, BBspot is known for their "humor" and "satire"...

I'm not worried.
It's a JOKE people. But what makes it even more funny, this is the third time I've seen this article come up today. My dad was all worried and emailed it to me today, just after a friend of mine had showed me it. Then I get on here tonite and see it for a third time!

Personal Comedy.

I can't imagine how many $500,000 fines would incur inside a dorm.

I don't know how many times my DVD's have been shared and watched...I could be making money off of this..hmmm
That is very funny, now I have another source for good quality news other than The Onion and Fox
I checked out the site but I'm not sure if it is a joke or not, because on the left-hand column there are links to stories like, "Microsoft Purchases Evil From Satan" and "Bush Proposes Faith-Based Firewalls for Government Computers", and those could very well be true.
