Thank you for the well-wishes guys! I have been away for a couple of days to the lovely city of Regina (10 points for anyone that can tell me their world record claim-to-fame). Hoping to relax a little tonight with a few nice Belgian brew i brought back over last summer.
Hey, I want to get in on this party! Happy Birthday, Scott!
Most beer doesn't get better with age, so go ahead, eh?

I'm going to guess Leslie Nielsen rather than the riot.
ahh you would enjoy the party too...i believe i will be serving (myself) a bottle of imported Chimay Grand Reserve 2002. I have been waiting for a special occasion to partake and i think i have waited long enough, tonight may have to be the night.
Happy Birthday, Scott...
Unlike Tom, you're only a 2 hour drive away from me for me to come give you the "birthday bumps"... so be afraid, be very afraid! :P
Bren R.
Happy birthday, Scott!
That Chimay sounds right tasty...
oh by the way, no such luck on the 10 points, Tom. However, you are getting warm....there is a loose relationship between the riot and this particular claim to fame.
And Dudley Do-Right.
Bren R.
Used to be called "Pile-of-Bones" ?
Adding to the mix "Colin James"
And the last CBC building to have a licensed restaurant in it? ("Peter's Place"... the best pizza in YQR!)

Have a great day, Scott. All the best on your birthday.
A whole bunch of strikes there.....a little hint for everyone, i think it's in the Guiness Book.
BTW, this is probably quite difficult to find, since i've known a number of people from Regina that didn't realize they had this distinction.
Thanks for the continued wishes everyone....
Hey Jack, big 28 here, look out i'm coming for ya
28, oh man, I am starting to feel old, and I'm still in my 30's. ha ha

LOL! Enjoy your youth, Scott. It's a wonderful thing, and over all too soon.
Happy Birthday Scott ... and the other couple of folks I missed last week!
Another birthday wish here.
Happy Birthday! I just sent my wife out to the local brewery with an empty growler to fetch me a refill. I'll drink one to you in a few minutes.
Ok, ok. She volunteered to get it since she just got back from a ladies night out and told me about a beer she liked.
Happy Birthday, Scott! Using your little hint, I find that the Albert St. bridge is the longest bridge in the world crossing the smallest amount of water. Was the contractor the mayor's brother?
Alright, alright, is there anything that John doesn't know???? Bullseye, you got it. The St.Albert Street Memorial Bridge is claimed to be the longest bridge over the shortest span of water in the world. The connection to the Regina Riot being the great depression as the bridge was built in 1930 as a make work project.
Thanks again everyone, this thread was certainly worth a few smiles today. Have yourselves a good evening!
Really? Well, too bad I'm never out there anymore would have been a good bit of trivia to stump the locals with.
Bren R.
Almost missed this--been out all day.
Happy Birthday Scott! If I were you I'd stop having birthdays now. 28 is a good age to hold steady at.
I'd raise a toast to you, but I'm afraid I overdid it on the cheesecake for dessert *burp*--can't fit anything else in my stomach. *burp again*
Ick. Cheesecake burps.
